I read books one and two, and became addicted to the storyline. The cliffhangers only added to my withdrawals after the books ended. Therefore, I had very high expectations for the grand finale. The problem was this… the finale was less than grand. Some of the revelations were even inconsistent with previous facts collected.
Things that happened to Charlie in Book Two couldn’t be explained away, and the authors seemed to lose their way in reference to those facts. This bothered me a lot. There were other little things that seemed to interrupt the flow of the story arc.
What I liked: Silas and Charlie became better people than they had been when this experience started.
