Now in My Bookbag: Every Last Breath (Dark Elements) by Jennifer L Armentrout

Armentrout never fails to deliver a great read, and this is no exception.

every last breathEvery Last Breath is the perfect ending to the Dark Elements series, and it captures me from the very beginning. I find myself unable to put this book down until I finish every last word. I am driven to know what truths are revealed for Layla, Roth and Zayne.

I must unravel the complexities surrounding Layla as she searches her heart and makes decisions that are heart-wrenching, but necessary. Roth reveals himself to be far more than just the Crown Prince introduced in the beginning of the series, and Zayne develops a level of maturity that is forced upon him, ready or not. Each of these characters evolve into multi-dimensional individuals.

I have yet to read a story told by Armentrout that is anything but exceptional. She is a masterful storyteller. This entire series is so well-written, and I whole-heartily recommend it as a must-read.

For me, Every Last Breath is a definite 5 star book.

Now in My Bookbag: FRIGID by Jennifer Armentrout (Writing as J. Lynn)

“I was in love with my best friend.”

FrigidThis quote applies to each best friend yet neither knows. If things continue this way through college graduation, neither ever will. It figures that each would feel as though the other was out of their league. They carry their misconceptions well. If either speaks the truth, their great friendship could be over for good. On the brink of something good, actions of the past create distrust in the present, and even the strongest friendship may crumble.

I was drawn in almost immediately to this story. Sydney and Kyler are great characters, each written as the opposite of the other. Armentrout brings each to life, exposing both strengths and weaknesses. She completely creates this believable world that is totally realistic. There are times in the story that the desire to shake some sense into one or the other characters manifests itself. This is a very enjoyable read and a precursor to SCORCHED. Both of these books are must-read.

(This is a Contemporary Romance and thus for readers who are 18+ due to language and mature content)

Now in My Bookbag: Scorched by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I Love, Love, Love This Book!!

It deals with very difficult topics with such raw honesty, it blows me away. Andrea and Tanner feel as though they are real people who bravely share their thoughts, feelings, and emotions with me. Andrea’s journey is especially hard to ‘watch’ because she quickly becomes this friend whom you wish to help, but can not. All of the gritty details bring me inside the story and make me an emotional mess.

Armentrout does it again, delivering a story with characters so real they could be part of a family, or set of friends, that I know. It is an awesome read, and I highly recommend it.
